The village of Quattro Strade, whose name derives from the pre-existing junction between Via del Pollaiolo and Via Maremmana, began to develop in the 1970s.
The town, used as a residential area, stretches through the hilly area of the municipality of Lastra a Signa near the historic centre of Malmantile.
