From Gangalandi to Brucianesi

The western part of the municipality of Lastra
The church of San Martino in Gangalandi sits on a hill overlooking the Arno Valley and Ponte a Signa, on the road from Lastra a Signa to Brucianesi.
A little further ahead, perched on a wooded hill, is the church and convent of Saints Lucia and Michele in Monte Orlandi. Built in the 12th century and enlarged between the 17th and 18th century, it houses many paintings dating from the 17th and 18th century.
Villa Pandolfini, or Ducessois-Prat, is worth a stop along the Via Livornese, past Ponte a Signa. It was built around the late 15th century and is now privately owned. Further down the road are the Church and Convent of Santa Maria delle Selve, founded in approximately 1343 and completely modified circa 1738.
The itinerary ends at the modern Church of Santa Maria in Brucianesi. It houses works brought from Santa Maria a Lamole, such as frescoes by Bicci di Lorenzo's workshop, currently not visible, and two fine panels attributed to Bernardo di Stefano Rosselli.
